Pumpkin Swirl Brownies

Preparation

Preheat the Oven

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place your Silpat Perfect Brownie Mold on a baking tray, such as the Silpat Cook N Cool Tray, for extra support.

Make the Brownie Batter

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
  2. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined. Be careful not to overmix the batter to ensure a fudgy texture.

Prepare the Pumpkin Swirl

  1. In another bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, egg yolk, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice until smooth and creamy

Assemble the Brownies

  1. Pour half of the brownie batter into the Silpat Perfect Brownie Mold, spreading it evenly to fill the compartments.
  2. Spoon dollops of the pumpkin mixture over the brownie batter, followed by the remaining brownie batter on top.
  3. Use a toothpick or knife to gently swirl the brownie and pumpkin mixtures together, creating a beautiful marbled effect.

Bake

  1. Place the brownies in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Cool and Serve

  1. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the Silpat mold before removing them. Once cool, cut the brownies into squares and enjoy!
